Education & Community

I love kids’ own art and stories, and I’m a big believer in imaginative and experimental forms of creativity – with no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ responses to art-based activities. If your imagination says the princess is a monster with five eyes, purple feathers and a crown that fires satsumas at pigeons then better to be able to express that idea effectively than to squash it to fit someone else’s vision.

I’ve used this approach to creative education in kids’ drawing workshops (in person and online), activities for cultural venues to give away to visitors, a World Book Day character trail and a series of ‘creativity compendium’ booklets co-created with an innovative theatre company for their online education programme (see images below!).
