2022 was a life-changing year: delivering a medical diagnosis which rewrote everything I had in mind for my future, and demanding that I find a new way to understand myself, life and my place in the world.
Painting became my way through this – initially as a way to tap into feelings of joy and calm which otherwise scarce. I needed colour, and I needed to think about places that brought me comfort.
Since then my practice has grown, shifting from ‘self help’ to a broader exploration of my connection to nature, and places/moments/sensations from local landscapes. I’m interested in how our inner needs seek certain types of place, weather, season or sensory experiences – a deep knowledge guiding us in a form of ‘nature prescription’
Please note: lots of 2025 work to be added soon!
