I’m taking an extended pause from illustration – for now, painting is where my creative time and energy needs to be. My practice as an illustrator involves a huge amount of heart and emotional engagement – I love getting inside the narrative and essentially acting all the characters as I draw. And at the moment that emotional investment needs to go into processing personal stuff I’ve been through, via my paintings. I’m still drawing in private – and perhaps this work will surface one day. But for now, here’s a lovely bunch of examples from 2018 – 2023.
